Project Overview

Campus Vibrancy was a project that was given to me by the Division of Student Affairs. It was an idea for a new brand that consisted of posters that provided information about what events were going on both of Grand Valley’s campuses: Allendale and Downtown.

Once we had the overall idea for the brand we needed to brainstorm ideas for the poster names of each individual campus. We wanted each name to be a catchphrase that would be a fun way to engage the students with the overall brand.

After a few rounds of coming up with different catchphrases we ultimately landed on two different versions of the name: Weekends in the Valley for the Allendale campus, and Weekends in the City for the downtown campus. For the rollout of the posters there was also an Laker Hub Slide that was on all the TVs around campus.
